Light, fluffy whipped cream meets cocoa and shredded coconut in this super simple dessert. You’re only 5 minutes and 4 ingredients away from this decadently easy German Chocolate Mousse treat whenever you need it. Right now sounds good yeah?
Hey have you guys noticed it’s been an extraordinarily sweet week here on Wandercooks?
First up we shared one of our tastiest mistakes ever, these deliciously Addictive Scrambled Pancakes, followed up with Grandma’s never-fail Just Plain Easy Homemade Scones.
And this weekend is about to get even sweeter with our pièce de résistance – this gloriously chocolatey and super-easy-to-whip-up 3 Ingredient German Chocolate Mousse.
Breakfast, brunch or dessert these Addictive Scrambled Pancakes are THE sharing platter you want with friends. Pancakes will never be the same again with our crazy-awesome list of flavour combinations. Try lemon and jam or lemon and sugar, even cocoa dates and maple syrup!
The origin of our love affair for these addictive scrambled pancakes came around by complete accident.
Orrrr… You know. General kitchen disaster.
Whatever you want to call it.
Cinnamon Grilled Peaches with Sour Cream are the perfect wake-up call just waiting to sweeten up your morning. When you really don’t want to stare at yet another bland bowl of cereal or boring slice of toast, start your day with these creamy summer flavours instead.
Haha, why did we think life would get simpler when we got home?
Busy busy busy. That’s how life is feeling right now. But in very good ways.
There’ve been awesome catch ups with friends and family, fun planning for Neighbour Flavour, furniture shopping and of course, obligatory hotdogs at Ikea (because sometimes there are times when a hotdog is just necessary… amirite?)
There’s nothing like a delicious jam to sweeten up our days, and we just happened to stumble across a truly glorious homemade raspberry jam recipe that we can’t wait to share with you!
Big thanks to Helga from Memmingen in Germany for teaching us this very special formula, passed down to her from her grandmother.
‘So when you arrive I’ll have a few bottles of wine and beer chilling in the fridge. Oh and tonight I’ll teach you my grandmother’s recipe for homemade pasta too. Sound good?’
How could we ever refuse!
Our wanders through Germany led us to the tiny town of Warngau and the doorstep of our wonderful host Michael. The sounds of birds and happy cows making music with their bells replaced the car horns and exhaust fumes of the big city as we hopped off the train and into the quiet countryside.
It was so nice to walk in the door and drop our packs knowing we had a few days to settle down in one place, and with an awesome host too!
