Cream the butter and the sugar.

Add the eggs and mix well.

Fold in the flour (half at a time).

Then fold in the milk (half at a time).

Mix batter until smooth.

Dust the sultanas with flour (this helps stop them sinking).

Fold sultanas into the battter.

Pour into lined baking tin and smooth out the surface.

Bake 45-60 mins until golden brown.
