Spicy fried rice cake skewers  slathered in a sweet gochujang sauce.

You will need

– Korean rice cakes (tteok) – butter – vegetable oil – Korean chilli paste     (gochujang) – tomato sauce / ketchup – soy sauce – sugar – garlic – Korean pepper flakes    (gochugaru) – sesame oil

Mix the sauce ingredients.

Thread rice cakes on skewers, fry in butter and vegetable oil.

Cook both sides until crispy and chewy.

Slather sauce over rice cake skewers and serve.
